Teslagrad is a side-scrolling platformer with strong puzzle elements. The protagonist finds himself inside the mysterious Tesla Tower, a place inspired by Nikola Tesla's fictional technology. The game communicates without words.
The player explores the tower, which can be freely navigated (but has limited branching paths). To progress, the player uses special abilities to solve puzzles based on magnetic fields: objects with different colours are attracted to each other, while objects of the same colour are repelled. The player's gloves allow them to change the polarity of objects, unlocking new abilities and gadgets as they progress, such as a cannon or short-distance teleportation.
The game requires precise pixel-perfect jumping and fast reactions in platforming challenges, often tied to puzzle-solving. There are also boss battles to overcome. With its unique blend of exploration and challenge, Teslagrad offers an engaging experience for fans of action-adventure games.
