Code Vein is set in a post-apocalyptic world where humans have been wiped out by a powerful virus. The game follows the story of a young man named Reinhardt who becomes infected with the virus and seeks to find a cure for humanity's downfall.

Gameplay involves exploring an open world, fighting against hordes of monsters, and solving puzzles to progress through the story. The combat system is action-oriented, with players able to switch between different types of abilities to suit their playstyle.
