Rive is an action-packed adventure game where the evil Slick has taken over River City High School, kidnapping Ryan's girlfriend. As either Ryan or Alex, players must navigate through the city's gang-ridden streets to rescue their friend and confront Slick.

The gameplay in Rive is reminiscent of classic beat-em-ups like Double Dragon. Players can punch and kick their way through gangs, as well as use objects to take them down. Defeated gang members drop money, which can be spent in malls to buy items that improve health and combat abilities.

Rive features RPG-like numerical stats for the main characters, which can be improved by buying books or upgrading equipment. To complete the game, players must find and defeat all the bosses. The PlayStation 4 version of Rive offers a unique gaming experience with its action-packed gameplay and challenging levels.

Rive was released on September 1st, 2017 for the PlayStation 4, offering a fresh take on the classic beat-em-up genre.
