Depending on the territory, this game version was available in retail or digital release. In US and Europe, it was available by pre-ordering the game, either as a retail copy or a PS4 digital version. In Australia they have two different retail versions, one which includes the voucher for the bonus chapter. The Japanese version had the bonus chapter included from the start in both retail and digital releases.

The Japanese retail version has certain gore elements censored by turning the screen black with voices and sound effects still playing, leaving the death scene imagination to the player. This was a unique feature for the Japanese market, as there was no version without the bonus chapter.
