Walter Payton Football , or American Pro Football , is a simulation of American football. The game has two main modes: "Monday Night Game" and "Road to Superbowl". The former is similar to a friendly game, while the latter is like a play-off tournament in the NFL.
The player can choose their favorite NFL team to compete against the computer or another player. Strategies for defensive and offensive plays can be assigned to teams, giving players more control over the game. The game is viewed from a top-down perspective, except during kick-offs and field goals, which are seen in closer detail.
