The story of Farland Story 2 follows the main character Riad, who is forced to flee his home after attacking the emperor's minister. He is accompanied by Serena, a girl he loves, and must navigate the continent of Ionia, where an evil scheme is unfolding. The game takes place 20 years after the events of Arc, and explores themes of power, war, and rebellion.
The gameplay of Farland Story 2 is similar to other games in the series, with a focus on large strategic battles. Players control Riad's party as they move over the battle location, attacking enemies and casting magic spells. The game features a dark setting and intense action, but also includes elements of exploration and character development.
