Final Stretch is an action-adventure game set during the 1993 Formula One Season. The game features a GP mode, 1P VS 2P, and Time Attack modes. In GP mode, the player can choose between beginner or expert modes, which have several differences.
In the beginner mode, any team can be chosen, and the player will start all races without having to qualify. There is no machine setting, and during the actual race, the vehicles do not collide with each other. In contrast, the expert mode features a qualifying session consisting of nine laps. It is also possible to save data.
The game allows for single-player competition in GP mode, with the screen always split. The bottom screen displays the car in the typical chase view, while the top screen shows up to five different views.
Final Stretch was supervised by Japanese driver Aguri Suzuki, similar to Redline: F1 Racer . It was released on November 12, 1993, for the Super Famicom console.
