The game has a variety of punches, including jab, hook, uppercut and low blow. As you score points on your opponent, you get a super punch that is almost unbeatable but can be lost if you miss. The game also shows the damage inflicted on both fighters, with black areas representing hits.

The game has two main displays during a fight: the damage inflict meter and the fighters' faces. As the round progresses, the fighters show more bruises and cuts, and flash red when they're tired - this is the best time to land a super punch. The camera view also changes from round to round, showing your character's back and then yourself.
