The year was 1970, and a new accessory had hit the market. The Turbo Booster , designed for the TurboGrafx-16 console, promised to enhance the gaming experience. However, this accessory did not exactly live up to its name, as it didn't really do much of anything besides being an empty cartridge with a connector attached.
Gameplay was where things got even more disappointing. The Turbo Booster consisted of an empty plastic case with some wires and a connector attached. You could use it to hold your other TurboGrafx-16 accessories, but that's about it. There wasn't even a cartridge to load, so the idea of playing games through it was just a joke.
Overall, the Turbo Booster was more of a marketing gimmick than an actual product. If you were looking for something to enhance your TurboGrafx-16 experience, there were far better options available, but if you wanted an empty plastic case to hold other accessories, then I suppose this would be the answer.
