The story of Cannonball Blitz follows a secret agent known as 'Duck' who is tasked with stopping an evil villain from launching a nuclear warhead. Duck must navigate through various levels, avoiding obstacles and enemies to reach the launch site.
The gameplay in Cannonball Blitz involves Duck running left or right, jumping over obstacles, and shooting enemy agents with his trusty blaster. Players control Duck using the Vic-20's keyboard, moving him across the screen while avoiding hazards such as spikes and pitfalls. With a limited number of lives and an increasing difficulty level, Cannonball Blitz requires skill and quick reflexes to progress through its challenging levels.
Cannonball Blitz was released in 1982 for the Vic-20 console, and it has since become a retro gaming classic. Its fast-paced action and simple yet addictive gameplay make it a great example of 80s arcade-style games.
