Ghost Squad is a rail shooter game where the player fights as part of an elite squad through multiple levels. The objective is to shoot enemies that suddenly appear, defuse bombs, and rescue hostages. Using the Wiimote controller or Wii Zapper as a light gun, players can select from alternate routes in each level.

The gameplay involves shooting enemies, defusing bombs, and rescuing hostages while navigating through levels. As players progress, new weapons and game modes are unlocked, including Ninja Mode and Paradise Mode. The game offers 25 different weapons, 14 costumes, and over 48 difficulty levels to master.
