Armored Unit is a WonderSwan exclusive sci-fi turn-based strategy game. The story mode follows the player's journey as they select an armored unit from various types and progress through stages with short dialogue cut-scenes between each stage.
The gameplay involves moving your armored unit on a square map field, fighting hidden enemy units using weapons and special attacks based on the type of unit you've selected. Your goal is to defeat the enemy and progress to the next stage. You can also use random map fields or weapons of mass destruction to try and hit the enemy without knowing its location. After each stage, you can upgrade and edit your current arsenal, adding new weapons and gadgets.
