Players can also select a second person to accompany them by going to a "gathering point" in the game. At any time during play, players can switch control between the first character and the second, accessing their special talents. This feature allows for teamwork and cooperation.

Throughout the game, players will collect various items such as contact weapons (e.g. baseball bats), pistols, guns, special high-powered weapons, first-aid kits, discs (for saving games), keys, screwdrivers, and other tools. Each weapon has its own ammunition, which is not interchangeable.
