Dead or Alive 4 is the fourth installment in the Dead or Alive series. The game follows a similar fighting game style, delivering combo-heavy action set in various interactive locations.
In this version of the game, Helena takes control of DOATEC, leading an eclectic cast of fighters from around the world as they battle each other for their personal goals. Each character has unique and often unusual motives.
The main story mode features each character fighting through a series of encounters, with bizarre contexts such as taking issue with cruelty to a T-Rex or a fight over a fresh lettuce. The Japanese humor is still present in this installment.
Dead or Alive 4 features Xbox Live support, allowing players to watch fights while waiting for their turn and supports VOIP, typical of many Live games.
The game boasts a graphical upgrade and an improved fighting system, designed to appeal not only to veteran Dead or Alive fans but also to new gamers due to its more accessible control system, reducing the advantage to experienced players.
