Halo Wars 2 is a real-time strategy game based on the Halo universe and it is the sequel to the 2009 Halo Wars. Players use Spartans, Warthogs and other classic Halo units in order to battle the enemy. A single-player campaign and online multiplayer battles are available.
The game's story is set in 2559 and features two factions: the human United Nations Space Command (UNSC) and the alien Banished. The Banished replace the Covenant from the first game. Both factions have leader units with special abilities that can be used after a cooldown period. These abilities can either heal or deal damage to the enemy. In multiplayer, there are multiple game modes for up to six players online or against bots.
