Plants vs. Zombies is a tower defense game where you deploy stationary weapons to protect your lawn from hordes of invading zombies. You start by planting seeds on the lawn in a strategic manner, waiting for zombies to appear from the street and trying to destroy them before they reach your house. Sun power icons fall from the sky, which you collect with the mouse to increase your funds.
The game features various types of offensive plants, each with its own unique abilities. You can plant peashooters, carnivorous plants, cherry bombs, potato mines, and others to defend yourself against the undead. Some plants are more effective than others, but they all take time to recharge after being used.
The game also includes mini-games that parody well-known casual titles. There are twenty of them in total, and most can be played directly from the main menu. You'll have fun playing these mini-games before returning to your lawn defense.
Plants vs. Zombies has three gameplay modes: adventure mode, where levels get progressively harder, puzzle mode, which includes two variations, survival mode, and Zen Garden, where you tend to your plants and earn coins to buy new ones.
The game is available on the Nintendo DS console and was released in 2011. You can enjoy this casual game with a fun and addictive gameplay experience.
