Top Gear Pocket brings another round of rally action to the GameBoy Color. The game's story follows a similar format to previous Top Gear titles, where players are awarded points based on their finishing position in each race. These points can be used to upgrade the stats of their rally car, including speed, braking, acceleration, and top speed.
The championships are divided into seasons, with each season becoming progressively harder than the last. Players can choose to change the weather conditions or practice on the track to improve their skills. In addition, Top Gear Pocket features a two-player mode, allowing friends to compete against each other.
