Iron Chef is a single-player timed platform game. The story follows Cookie and Bread, two cute characters living in Wonderful Land, as they try to rescue their village from a giant who has kidnapped everyone.
The giant has kidnapped all the people and animals, and only allows one person to rescue them by making him the world's best food. Bread, determined to save his friends, sets out on this quest. He must collect food and ingredients over four levels and thirty-two sub-levels before time runs out.
Iron Chef requires players to climb ladders in the most efficient sequence, dislodge items of food so that they fall into baskets below, and avoid mice who will attack Bread and cost the player a life. While keyboard controls dominate the gameplay, there are also mini-games where a mouse is necessary.
Iron Chef was released on 2007-01-12 for the PlayStation 2 console, falling under the genre of Action & Adventure.
