Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water

The story follows Mika Satonaka as she returns to her hometown on the remote Oma Island, where her father's research boat was wrecked years ago. Her search for answers leads her to uncover a dark history of tragic events and a mysterious curse that haunts the island.

Players control Mika as she explores various locations, including abandoned houses, forests, and beaches, all while avoiding the vengeful spirits known as the "Yurei". The gameplay revolves around using a special camera called the "Camera Obscura" to capture these ghosts in order to weaken them. The game's atmosphere and tension are increased when Mika is unable to use her camera, making it difficult for her to progress.
