A meteor struck the Earth and caused great chaos. Seven gods from ancient times awoke, and are now attempting to take control of the post-apocalyptic world. Primal Rage is set in this new world where various monsters are fighting for power.
The gameplay of Primal Rage features one-on-one battles between dinosaurs and giant apes as the fighters. The graphics use digitized stop-motion animation, adding to the game's unique look. Players can perform deadly finishing moves at the end of each match, similar to other popular fighting games.
