In a world of wonder, the Tower of Doom awaits brave adventurers who seek to conquer its challenges and claim its treasures. This single-player game is inspired by the classic Dungeons & Dragons series and is exclusive to the Intellivision console. Players can choose from 10 different character classes, each with unique strengths, and embark on one of seven quests. Those seeking a greater challenge will encounter randomized maps and magical item effects.

As players navigate through the dungeon, they will control their character using a top-down view of the current area. The corridor layout will be drawn on-screen as they explore, giving them a clear understanding of their surroundings. Players can also access their character's inventory at any time to utilize items strategically. A map of the entire dungeon is displayed on-screen, allowing players to plan their route and avoid dangers.
