Amazing Bumpman , an educational game for the ColecoVision, challenges players to navigate through a hexagonal playfield. The objective is to move Amazing Bumpman and push white digits into their corresponding green hexagons in the center of the playfield while avoiding enemies such as pinchers and whirlies.
The gameplay requires strategy as players must also solve arithmetic operations, either addition or subtraction, by selecting and pushing the right digits. Four levels of difficulty are featured, which adjust the number of digits to push, the appearance of pinchers, and the presence or absence of whirlies.
