Isaac is from the town of Vale, on the island of Angara. He is an Adept, meaning he is skilled in Psynergy, the technique of moving objects without touching them. Mages from the rival island of Gondowan plan to destroy Angara by using four Elemental Stones, so Isaac has assembled a team to snatch the stones.
In Golden Sun , players control characters who can use different elements to cast spells. The game features battles with multiple monsters at once, and characters can capture and use Djinni creatures to give them extra powers. Energy is needed to cast spells, but it constantly replenishes while not in use.
The game has a two-player link-up option, allowing friends to team up and play together. Golden Sun was released on the Game Boy Advance in 2001.
