Parasol Stars , released in 1992, is an action-adventure game that follows the story of Bub and Bob as they take on a new challenge. After their transformation into humans, the brothers must defend themselves against an army of enemies who have taken on various forms. The boys' journey takes them through different screens, where they can pick up power-ups to aid them in their quest.
The gameplay in Parasol Stars is similar to that of its predecessor, Rainbow Islands , with an emphasis on exploration and combat. Players control Bub and Bob as they navigate through various environments, collecting power-ups and defeating enemies. The addition of umbrellas (or parasols) adds a new twist to the classic Bubble Bobble gameplay.
