Parasol Stars is a sequel to Rainbow Islands , where the gameplay returns to its Bubble Bobble roots. In their human forms, Bub and Bob must clear screens of bad guys, picking up power-ups along the way.
The boys face off against enemies with less conventional forms than in Rainbow Islands , but with the added twist of umbrellas – or parasols – as their primary weapon. The aim is to progress through levels, defeating all the foes on screen.
