Super Mario Advance combines two classic Nintendo games: Super Mario Bros. 2 and Mario Bros., in one package. The gameplay features running, jumping, and veggie-flinging from the original Super Mario Bros. 2, with new enemies and bigger items to collect. A scoring system has also been added, along with voice clips and a robotic Birdo boss called Robirdo. The game includes 100 red ace coins to find throughout, with five per stage, earning an extra life when all are collected.
Super Mario Advance offers a co-op mode in the updated arcade classic Mario Bros., where you can play with a friend or have a competitive experience bumping off enemies and collecting coins. The game also includes a Yoshi Challenge mode, where finding both of two hidden eggs per stage is necessary to progress without losing a life.
Super Mario Advance was released on the Game Boy Advance in March 2001.
