Cat Girl without Salad: Amuse-Bouche follows the adventures of Kebako, a cat girl with a passion for junk food and a forgetful nature. Her current occupation is bounty hunting in space, accompanied by her mysterious companion Squiddie. As she navigates through the galaxy, she leaves a trail of chaos behind her.
The game starts as a typical side-scrolling shooter but takes an unexpected turn when Kebako upgrades to new weapons. These bizarre guns introduce new gameplay mechanics, such as matching colored spheres or pressing buttons in time with music. While some are challenging to use, their devastating power makes them essential for progressing through the levels.
The game consists of only three levels, each featuring unique enemies and a final boss at the end.
Cat Girl without Salad: Amuse-Bouche was first released in 2016 as part of a compilation bundle. It later became available again as a free standalone title from January 18th to February 2nd, 2018. Originally announced as an April Fools' joke in 2013, the game surprised fans by becoming a reality.
