Rodney Copperbottom, a talented young inventor, moves to the big city in search of his dream job at his childhood hero's company, Bigweld. However, he soon discovers that Bigweld is missing and the corporation is now run by Ratchet and his evil bots. With the help of the Rusties, a group of colourful outmodes, Rodney must defeat an army of mechanical minions to restore order to the city.
The game follows a similar plot to the Blue Sky movie, where you control Rodney as he battles evil bots, upgrades his weapons and gadgets, and explores various locations from the movie. You'll also get to play as Wonderbot, Rodney's mechanical sidekick, who can access areas that are off-limits to Rodney. The game features levels where you drive the Transport Pod, a giant metal ball used by Rodney as a vehicle.
