Dragonflight is a fantasy role-playing game set in a world where great dragons have vanished, leaving behind a power vacuum that only a group of four friends can fill. The story follows Bladus, Rinakles, Dobranur, and Andariel as they are summoned by an elderly wizard to locate the dragons and learn the high art of magic. Their quest begins in the city of Pegana, where they must navigate the complexities of magic guild politics and confront the evil forces that seek to exploit the power of the dragons.
The gameplay in Dragonflight is non-linear, with players able to explore most locations from the onset. The game features top-down overworld travel and town navigation, as well as first-person pseudo-3D dungeons. Combat is turn-based, with a side-scrolling view that displays a grid above it. Players can move characters around the battlefield, attack monsters, cast spells, and learn magic by mixing reagents from either the Black or White schools.
Monsters can be encountered wandering the wilderness or at fixed locations in dungeons, providing experience points for defeating them. Characters can also earn rewards by completing quests and acquiring new abilities. With its unique blend of exploration, combat, and character development, Dragonflight offers a captivating RPG experience that will keep players engaged until the end.
