Asterix and the Magic Carpet is based on a famous series about brave independent Gauls who drink magic power potions and fight with Romans. In this game, Asterix and Obelix fly on the magic carpet to India with Cacofonix, whose song can make the rain for friendly Indian villagers.
Asterix and the Magic Carpet is a mix of cartoon scenes and action sequences as you watch the progress in your travel. You choose answers to overcome obstacles and rescue Princess Orinjade from evil Hoodunnit, who plans to sacrifice her if it doesn't rain.
The gameplay involves exploring static cartoon scenes and making choices that determine the course of your journey. Action-packed sequences also take place, such as defending a village from robbers.
