Epic is a space-themed action & adventure game for the Atari ST. The story follows humanity as they flee their dying sun, seeking a new home. With most of the population on board, the fleet sets course for a suitable planet, only to find themselves heading straight through the territory of a hostile alien race, the Rexxons.
The gameplay involves space shooting and surface missions on various planets. While the graphics were impressive at launch, resulting in a short game with just 9 levels, Epic still offers a thrilling experience for players. The addition of cutscenes, set to music from Holst's "The Planets" suite, adds an extra layer of immersion to the game.
