Tsumu , released in 1970, is a Japan-only puzzle game where you control a hamster with a forklift as it navigates through levels. The goal is to arrange boxes in specific locations to complete animated images. Each stage has a limited number of steps, adding an extra layer of challenge. However, the "freeplay mode" allows puzzles to be solved even after exceeding the step limit.
The game features a stage editor that enables players to create custom puzzles. The back of the box and in-game notifications inform users that they can share their creations with the developers, who will feature 100 of the best stages in future issues of Tsumu . This unique feature adds a layer of community engagement to the game.
