Bomb Rush Cyberfunk is set in the futuristic city of New Amsterdam, where a young man named Red seeks revenge against DJ Cyber who left him beheaded. With the help of his new allies, including the tough Tryce and cheerful Bel, Red aims to reclaim his head and memories while taking down rival gangs.
The game's objective is to capture key districts by tagging them with graffiti. As you progress, your reputation grows, allowing you to challenge other gangs and expand your territory. You can choose from different modes of transportation, including a skateboard, BMX bike, rollerskates, or a jet pack for faster movement.
The game's soundtrack features an energetic mix of electronic and hip-hop tracks, with contributions from Hideki Naganuma, known for his work on Jet Set Radio and Sonic Rush. The cel-shaded art style brings a vibrant feel to the game, reminiscent of its spiritual predecessor, Jet Set Radio.
