Sam Fisher's life has fallen apart after a tragedy. He is now working as a double agent, balancing his loyalty to the NSA with his allegiance to the terrorist organization John Brown's Army. The choices he makes will determine whether he does good or evil. Will he shoot a prisoner to earn trust with the JBA, or hold off to keep the NSA on his side?
The gameplay is centered around stealth and strategy. As Sam Fisher, you must sneak around, hiding from enemies and using your gadgets to bypass security systems. You can choose to interrogate or hack for keycodes, or take out enemies silently. The game features a trust system, where your choices affect how much trust you have with either the NSA or the JBA.
The game takes Sam Fisher on various missions, from visiting the JBA headquarters in New York City to infiltrating a cruise ship and escaping from a war-torn city. You can complete these missions without firing a single bullet, making it a challenging and strategic experience. The game also features multiplayer, where you can play as either a spy or a mercenary, each with their own unique abilities and objectives.
The PS3 version includes additional content, such as new characters, maps, and co-op challenges. Overall, Splinter Cell: Double Agent is a third-person shooter that requires strategy, stealth, and quick thinking to succeed.
