The Caligula Effect: Overdose is a remake of the 2016 PS Vita title The Caligula Effect. It is the first release for the Playstation 5 console and introduces many changes compared to the original version. There is for instance an entirely new campaign playing as the villains. There are also a couple of new heroes and locations, and some of the game mechanics have been reworked/streamlined.
Gameplay-wise, Caligula Effect: Overdose is a role-playing game (RPG) where players take on the roles of various characters with their own unique abilities. The game features a dynamic battle system and an extensive character development system that allows players to personalise their characters as they progress through the story.
