Alone in the Dark 2 is an action-adventure game where you take on the role of detective Edward Carnby. He's investigating a bootlegger named One Eyed Jack, who's suspected of kidnapping young Grace Saunders. A former colleague, Stryker, had attempted to infiltrate Jack's mansion but disappeared.

Carnby soon learns that Jack and his gangsters are 15th-century pirates who have gained immortality through dark magic. They're making human sacrifices, which explains Grace's kidnapping.

The game requires you to battle your way through Hell's Kitchen, fighting zombie pirates and searching for a way to break the spell. You'll solve puzzles and use various weapons to defeat enemies, or outsmart them with trickery.

The gameplay is similar to the original Alone in the Dark , using hybrid 2D-3D graphics. Completing the game will require quick reflexes and wits, especially when playing as young Grace Saunders, who can't fight and needs to rely on evasion and cunning to survive.

Alone in the Dark 2 was released for the PlayStation console in 1993. It's a challenging action-adventure game that combines puzzle-solving with intense combat, set in the dark and eerie world of Hell's Kitchen.
