The fifth edition of the World Fighting Tournament has arrived, bringing 17 talented fighters together in a battle for supremacy. The returnees include familiar faces like 15 previous champions, while two new challengers, Eileen and El Blaze, look to make a name for themselves using their unique styles.

But this time around, something is amiss. J6, the organization behind the tournament, has been secretly working on a new Dural fighting program, which was inspired by Vanessa's capture in the previous game. The goal of the current tournament is to test the new V-Dural program against the world's top fighters and uncover the identity of the person who helped Vanessa escape.

The gameplay itself remains true to its one-on-one arena fighting roots, with a few tweaks to enhance strategy and depth. The ranking system has been revamped, throw speed has been reduced, and a new defensive move allows fighters to sidestep attacks and counter with more precise strikes. The new clash system enables players to interrupt an opponent's attack with a well-timed throw, adding a fresh layer of complexity.
