Konohana 2 is a murder mystery adventure game that follows Meguru Momoi, a second-year student at Konohana high-school, as he becomes entangled in another series of murders. The game begins where the previous one left off, with everything seeming normal until they arrive to find police cordoning an area on their way to school, indicating a new murder case.
The gameplay is typical of visual novels, allowing players to view past dialogues, fast skip through them, or use the auto-play feature. There are many choices throughout the game that yield different endings. The main menu also features an Extras section with a BGM player and an unlockable album gallery containing event scenes from the game.
