This pinball game has a 3D orientation in which the camera pans vertically wherever the ball moves or sometimes shows a closeup of the ball in rails and sinkholes. There are three different pinball tables:
Basketball Legend - Has the theme of a basketball court with coach-styled messages.
Card Master - Based on a casino theme, featuring poker and roulette.
Circus Fantasia - Displays a circus-styled theme with scoring for stunts.
The two modes in the game are the pinball mode, which feature only the pinball tables for the highest score or the story mode. In the story mode, a crippled basketball college student goes to a bar where he is inspired to become the best pinball champion player in the United States. The career-styled gameplay requires the player to make use of limited funds to make purchases, travel between cities and resting to stay healthy. Money is earned by beating opponents' scores in pinball or by winning a basketball mini-game.

In this sports RPG, you play as a former basketball star seeking redemption after a career-ending injury by striving to become the world pinball champion. The game blends tournament progression with resource management, requiring you to travel between cities, manage physical stamina, and secure income through street basketball matches. Your ultimate goal is to ascend from the lowest ranking to win the exclusive top-tier championship while avoiding health and financial ruin.
Story
Game Start
To begin, choose the name of the main character (player). After the opening sequence, the game begins. If you have saved data from previous games, you can also load it.
Story
This promising young athlete was once a high-level university basketball player. Unfortunately, he was seriously injured in the legs while trying to save a child who was about to be hit by a car. His legs healed, but it was now impossible for him to play basketball as before. He sank into depression... until the day he discovered the world of pinball. In order to find his days of glory again, he embarks on a quest whose objective is to win the title of world pinball champion.
Game Objective
The goal of this game is to become world pinball champion. However, you must start at level E, which is the lowest. To become a champion, you must win the tournaments in which only players belonging to level A (the highest ranked) can participate. Obviously, under these conditions, your primary objective is to win the tournaments reserved for players of rank E and progress to higher-ranked tournaments.
Parameters
In this mode, two parameters display your physical strength and the money you have at your disposal. Each of your actions affects these parameters, and when their level drops too low, you fall ill or sink into heavy debt. It is advised not to neglect these parameters.

There are eight commands.
Game expense (Expenses)
This is a command you use when you move from one city to another. The available means of transport are the car and the plane. To use them, you must buy a car or a plane ticket. When you choose the car, your physical strength and your money decrease in proportion to the length of the trip. On the other hand, when you choose the plane, you can travel in a single day without your physical strength diminishing. However, if you take the plane, you must leave your car in the city you are leaving.
Accommodation (Lodging)
Hotel expense (Hotel fees)
When you have almost depleted your physical strength reserve, this is the command you need. It will take a day, but you can recover all your physical strength. You do not have to spend money in your city of Los Angeles, since you have a house there.
Additional Income
You can earn a little money by playing a one-on-one street basketball game. You will receive 100 dollars if you win, but lose 100 if you are defeated. The rules are as follows:

You must make 4 shots out of 5.
•
Score 15 points within a specified time limit.
You can even do smashes if your timing is correct.
How to Play
Starting Up
This CD-ROM is compatible only with the Sega Saturn System. Do not attempt to play it on any other CD player, as this may damage headphones and speakers.
System Setup
•
Set up your Sega Saturn console by following the instructions in the Instruction Manual.
•
Plug in Control Pad 1. For 2-player games, plug in Control Pad 2 as well.
•
Place the Sega Saturn CD-ROM label side up in the CD tray and close the lid.
Loading the Game
•
Press the Power Button to load the game. The game starts after the Sega Saturn logo screen.
•
If nothing appears, turn the system OFF and ensure it is set up correctly.
•
To stop a game or restart after it ends, press the Reset Button on the console to return to the Title Screen.
•
To return to the Control Panel at any time, press Buttons A, B, C, and Start simultaneously.
Audio CD Control Panel
If you turn on the power without inserting a CD, the Audio CD Control Panel appears.
•
Insert the Sega Saturn CD into the unit.
•
Press the D-Button to move the cursor to the top-left button on the Control Panel.
•
Press Start to view the game's opening screens.
Disc Care
Your Sega Saturn CD-ROM contains a security code that allows the disc to be read. Keep the disc clean and handle it carefully.
•
If the system has trouble reading the disc, remove it and wipe it carefully.
•
Wipe in a straight line from the center of the disc out towards the edge.

•
L and R Buttons: Fast forward the text displayed in the on-screen box.
•
A and C Buttons: Make selections.
•
Directional Buttons: Move the cursor.
•
B Button: Cancel selections.

Dramatic Angle
This mode automatically adjusts the player's view to the most dramatic angle as the ball passes certain locations. You must use this option when in Standard, Active, and Scroll modes.

Basketball Legend
This machine is based on the story of the main character in Story Play. It is the most difficult of the three but guarantees a real pinball challenge.

Tip: Practice aiming at the left hole, center hole, and left/right lamp lanes accurately to boost your score.
