BlazBlue: Continuum Shift II , an updated version of the arcade game, features an Abyss mode which is an endless series of fights. The deeper the player manages to delve, the better the reward. Before starting the mode, the player visits a shop to buy items, with new items unlocked by finding them during a previous Abyss play or by character level. Both experience and money are earned with all game modes.
The gameplay in BlazBlue: Continuum Shift II revolves around combat, as players control various characters with unique abilities to take down opponents.
