You play as explorer Sir Arthur Pendragon in this sequel to The Staff of Karnath . You're in Egypt beneath the Sphinx and have found The Eye of Osiris. With it, the chamber starts humming and vibrating, and you sink into darkness below. As torches light up, you find yourself in another chamber with a chest containing a scroll that tells you to collect other scrolls to escape.

Entombed is an action & adventure game viewed from the side, where the screen scrolls as you move around. The game takes place in many chambers and corridors. You need to complete tasks before your air meter reaches zero, as breathing becomes difficult. There are baddies and obstacles to avoid or hit with a whip, which can drain energy. Using the joystick controls Sir Arthur, and the keyboard for options on the bottom screen like jump, use object, or use weapon.


