The Final Gate , released in 1996, is a full motion video rail shooter for the Amiga CD32 console. The player takes control of a speedboat moving down a river, with their input limited to aiming a crosshair at targets on the screen and shooting projectiles.
The game's storyline revolves around an unknown narrative, but the gameplay focuses on navigating through levels, avoiding or destroying enemy projectiles while managing the boat's energy. If the player fails to respond quickly enough to incoming projectiles, they will take damage, lose energy, and potentially lose a life. Power-ups can be collected to regain some energy, and players have three chances to complete each level before losing all their lives.
