Golden Axe: Beast Rider , released on the Playstation 3 in 2008, is an action-packed game that brings the Golden Axe series into a new dimension with its 3D world. The player takes on the role of Tyris Flare, a skilled Amazon warrior, as she battles against her arch-nemesis Death Adder. Although there's no character selection this time around, fans will still spot appearances from Gilius Thunderhead and Tarik the Ax Battler as non-playable characters.

The gameplay is fast-paced and varied, with three modes to challenge even the most seasoned players. The campaign mode takes you through a series of levels, while the challenge mode lets you replay previous stages for an added layer of difficulty. In arena trials mode, you'll face off against enemies in a unique arena environment.

Combat is at the heart of Golden Axe: Beast Rider, with two types of attacks available: quick and powerful. You can also choose to parry or evade enemy strikes, depending on the situation. In addition to combat, Tyris Flare has access to jumps, kicks, and magic, while riding her trusty beast offers a range of attack options.
