Circus Charlie , released in 1986 for the Famicom, is an action-adventure game where you play as Charlie, a member of a circus troupe. Your goal is to please the crowd by performing five death-defying stunts. The story begins with Stunt #1: jumping through rings of fire with a lion, followed by walking on a tightrope for 70 meters while avoiding mischievous monkeys. Next up is rolling on a ball for 80 meters, navigating from one ball to the next while avoiding contact with the ground.
The gameplay involves completing each stunt in its respective metered distance, earning points and rewards along the way. You can also control the speed of your horse during Stunt #4 or slow down or speed up as needed. Finally, you'll trapeze from swing to swing for 50 meters, aiming to land on platforms below if you miss.
Once you've completed all five stunts, you'll have to do them again to earn more points and potentially higher scores.
