Incoming is set in a world where Earth has been attacked by aliens, with the enemy already having a base on the Arctic tundra. The game's story follows your efforts to defend against these attacks and eventually launch a counterattack from various continents before heading to the moon.
The gameplay of Incoming is fast-paced 3D action that requires you to control different vehicles, including tanks, helicopters, jet fighters, and even an alien fighter. The game features multiple modes, including arcade mode where you play as a straight shooter, and "action" and "action-tactics" modes where you can take limited control of other friendly units.
