Daffy Duck in Hollywood is an action-adventure game where players control Daffy Duck as he tries to retrieve the stolen Golden Cartoon Movie Awards from Doctor Duck Brain. The story follows Daffy's journey through six different worlds, each based on a movie genre such as western, horror, and sci-fi.
In this unique 8-bit version of Daffy Duck in Hollywood , players have the freedom to choose the order in which they complete the levels of the first two worlds. Completing all six unlocks the next two worlds. Each level consists of multiple sections, requiring Daffy to defeat enemies before progressing. Armed with a bubble gun, Daffy must shoot bubbles at enemies to make most of them float away, while avoiding invulnerable ones.
The game features several power-ups that can be collected, including magic wand upgrades that summon a "fairy duck mother" to prevent Daffy from losing lives. Golden clipboards give extra continues, and collecting dollar signs, gold coins, and diamonds earns points. While collecting all the Movie Awards is not necessary, Yosemite Sam's patience may wear thin if they are not recovered.
