It's been a year since a U.F.O. landed in the area around Megalo City, and despite an initial investigation, no signs of life have been found inside. However, the city's mayor has decided to host a fighting tournament to determine the strongest fighter in the world. A sense of unease lingers in the air as the tournament approaches.
Masters of Combat is a versus fighting game where you choose one of four participants and need to defeat your three opponents and yourself in a mirror match, before taking on the final boss. The game's controls are slightly unconventional, with jumping performed using a different button than most fighters, leaving only punches and kicks available.
The game features three levels of difficulty, although the easiest mode ends after just four fights out of five.
