Cyberball takes place in a futuristic world where robotic players have taken over American Football. In 1990, the game was modified to replace human players with robots, and to make it more exciting, a massive 350-pound bomb replaced the traditional pigskin ball.
Players control their robots as they navigate the field, passing the bomb to teammates and trying to avoid it exploding in their hands. The goal is to cross the 50-yard line without losing possession of the bomb, or score a touchdown by carrying or catching it into the end zone. If the bomb gets too hot, it will explode and the opposing team will gain possession.
Control is simple: players take turns playing offense and defense, with the quarterback throwing passes to their teammates. The game is co-operative, requiring both players to work together to succeed. With its fast-paced action and high-stakes gameplay, Cyberball brings a thrilling twist to the classic sport.
