Courier Crisis is a game that simulates the life of a bicycle courier. As you peddle around a virtual city, you must pick up packages from grumpy customers, and then deliver them to other grumpy customers before a timer runs out.
The 3D city and the traffic in Courier Crisis are your biggest obstacles. You can pull off crazy jumps and huge tricks that help you dodge them. There are many different areas of the city in which you can do delivery runs, such as the wharf, China town, the slums, and the city center. In total, there are more than 250 missions to complete. As you complete missions, you earn money that you can use to buy better rides.

Extracted from the original game manual
Set in a dangerous, stylized cityscape ranging from financial districts to radioactive industrial zones, this game challenges players to navigate hazardous terrain on a BMX or mountain bike. Players must dodge cabs, sheriff patrols, and vicious dogs while utilizing tricks like bunny hops and Air 360° time power-ups to survive the lethal environment.
Story
Civic Center
The financial district serves as the hub of the city, featuring numerous hills and secret alleyways. Watch out for the cabs, as they couldn't care less if they run you down.
China Town
This area is characterized by crazy hills and narrow streets. The maneuverability of a BMX bike is usually best for navigating this terrain.
Waterfront
Watch out for the sheriffs in this beach town, as they don't care for your type. There are a lot of fast, wide-open streets here, so the fastest mountain bike you can afford would serve you best.
The mongrel beach dogs are killers; use your kick to whack them or bunny hop over oncoming cars. They'll become grill work in no time.
Skid Row
This is a bad part of town where drive-by shootings take out pedestrians constantly. Vicious packs of junkyard dogs roam the streets, so get in and out as fast as you can. Don't forget the Air 360° time power-up for higher levels, as it's crucial.
Industrial Zone
Massive radioactive chemical spills in the '80s made this area a little weird. Not to mention the secret Army experiments in the '50s, some say they've been doing DNA experiments with aliens and house cats. Don't play with the fire, you'll burn your fingers.

How to Play
Employment Contract
As a bike courier, your job is to pick up and deliver packages in a timely manner. Start by looking for the guy with the package and pick it up by riding up to him. You can identify him by the pickup icon, a giant yellow arrow, above his head.
Once you have the package, find the drop-off guy, who is easy to spot due to the giant dollar sign above his head. Ride by him to drop off the package and collect your payment.
Each delivery mission is paid only on timely completion. Finishing when the timer is in the green pays full price, while yellow results in 75% and red results in 50%. If the timer runs out, you are fired and free to do what you want.
Main Menu
The Main Menu offers five options. Use the D-Pad LEFT/RIGHT to highlight an option, then use the O BUTTON to select it.
GO
Select this to go to the neighborhood selector screen. Refer to the 'Hood Selector section for more information on different neighborhoods.
GT BIKE SHOP
Select this to go to the GT bike shop.

You can access the bike shop anytime the Main Menu is available to trade in your current bike for a different model. You receive full trade-in value, so you only need to cover the difference. The cashflow figure indicates the combined value of your trade-in and available cash.
MEMORY CHIP
Select this to load or save a game, or to view credits.
You can save your game onto a memory cartridge or system memory to pause for life's necessities. You can save at the end of a mission by pressing the B button to return to the Main Menu, selecting the memory chip icon, and following the on-screen instructions.
If you do not have a memory cartridge or your system memory is full, use the password displayed on the LOAD/SAVE screen to resume later. Write the password down and cycle through letters using the D-Pad, pressing the C BUTTON to select.
To load a saved game, select the memory chip icon from the Main Menu. Saved games are named according to the level achieved, such as "Level 2".
CONTROLLER OPTIONS
Select this to change the default button configuration.
Follow the on-screen instructions to select one of the alternative keypad configurations.
Tips & Maps
RESTARTING A LEVEL
You can restart a level from the Paused menu by pressing the C button, or from the Busted/Wrecked menus by selecting Restart. This allows you to start the mission afresh without waiting for the game to reload.
RIDING STYLES
Goin' For Speed involves using the Pedal Button for speed and the Brake Button to scrub off speed before turns. Bouncing allows riders to hop over objects without ramps by holding the Bunny Hop button to charge up, releasing it upon jumping for maximum air time.
PULL'N TRICKS
Pulling tricks earns critical gameplay power-ups. Each trick corresponds to a specific power-up, such as a speed burst, time reduction, health restoration, or cop confusion.
TABLE TOP
Performed with D-Pad Up & Left Shoulder, this trick provides a speed burst power-up and can be doubled by double-tapping the Pedal Button for extra pedaling power.
AIR 360
Performed with D-Pad Down & X Button, this trick takes crucial seconds off the mission clock. Holding the trick buttons allows for rotation, with 720 or greater taking even more time.
CROSS UP
Performed with D-Pad Down & Left Shoulder, this trick serves as a Health Power Up by putting links back on your chain or fixing damage on your bike.
SPREAD EAGLE
Performed with D-Pad Up & Y Button, this trick gives Double-Bunny power-ups. When the blue bunny icon is displayed, double-tapping the Bunny Hop button grants an immediate full height hop.
BACK FLIP
Performed with D-Pad Down & Y Button, this trick temporarily confuses cops for 20 seconds, making them easier to evade if they are on your tail.
AIR TIME
Holding trick combo buttons for Cross Up, Spread Eagle, and Table Top allows for ultimate expression and ensures you get a full supply of the trick's corresponding power-up.
MISSION REPLAY
You can replay finished missions to achieve better times and earn more money, but if you get a worse time, you are stuck with the results from your last attempt.
PLAY IT WITH STYLE
Using style by wheelieing over or bunny hopping cars helps keep power-ups charged. Using these power-ups greatly reduces mission time, allowing you to buy better bikes sooner.
DIS THA POLICE
Gesturing at cops irritates them but clears street traffic with sirens. Use backflips to confuse cops if they are on your tail.
