Introduction
Lara Croft, daughter of Lord Henshingly Croft, was raised in the aristocracy. After her education at age 21, a life of marriage seemed certain until a plane crash in the Himalayas left her as the sole survivor.
Surviving in the hostile environment changed her perspective. By the time she reached the village of Tokarerby, she realized she could not endure the suffocating atmosphere of the British upper class. She resolved to travel the world alone.
Over the next eight years, Lara gained extensive knowledge of ancient civilizations. After her family disowned her, she financed her travels through writing. She became famous for discovering ancient sites and publishing travel books and archaeological protocols.
